Compare the same garment

Match the product code, colour and size, then compare the discounted price plus delivery. A lower headline price is useful only if your size is available. Check sale-item restrictions before assuming a voucher works.

Choose collection deliberately

A free store option can save a delivery fee if the collection trip is already convenient. Confirm the store and ready date before paying; sale periods and individual products can change availability.

Plan for a poor fit

Read the Irish return instructions before ordering multiple sizes. Keep labels, packaging and proof of purchase, and compare the return method you would actually use. A collection policy does not establish that postal returns are free.

A small clothing basket

Illustration, not a live garment price: a €40 basket costs €42 with Next’s €2 home shipping or €44.50 with M&S’s €4.50 standard delivery. Eligible free collection makes either €40 before travel. This compares fees only, not equivalent garments or quality.

Do not buy €8 just to avoid €4.50

At M&S, an illustrative €70 basket with paid delivery totals €74.50. Adding an unwanted €8 item takes the basket over €75 and totals €78 with free standard delivery: €3.50 more spent. Exactly €75 is not “over €75”; confirm the charge if a discount lands on the boundary.
